We moved the kitties big Armarkat cat tower from the Cat Den into our bedroom where Maxx, Ruby, and Tessa stay 24/7. It’s only fair that these three get to enjoy the superior scratchy posts, the awesome 78 inch height, and cozy cubby hole which Ruby instantly claimed as her own. Only Quint, Pia, and Viola used the tower in the Cat Den, and only for scratching on. (With his extra long legs, Quint needs an extra long scratching post like the Armarkat tower has.) When we can afford it, we’ll get a second one and get rid of the old original short tower that is completely shredded, and frankly, has a “fragrant” air about it.
Ruby: I like this cubby hole. It’s Ruby-sized and I can always tell when someone comes knocking. Who is that?

Tessa: Smells like… I don’t know. Fresh, soft, carpet-y, good! I just might need to sniff every square inch of this tower!

With some of our antics lately, Mom is thinking some of us should be confined, but we try to separate ourselves as much as possible voluntarily. That’s a whole lot of sniffing from Tessa. That’s a huge tree! Our big tree is unfortunately starting to tilt so Mommy is trying to save it because the sisal is still in very good condition. Cosmo and Ling’s first ever super mini tree (if it can even be called a tree) is still around after 6 years because it’s still their favorite. 🙂

Oh boy, do we ever know about the “fragrance” thing…we had some cheap knock-off trees and the Amarkat ones really ARE better.
