Facebook turned ten yesterday and while not everyone is on Facebook and a lot of people don’t like Facebook, we’re there both as Colehaus Cats and Mom who is Carole Cole.
Yesterday, some of us (Dad didn’t) got a nice surprise by way of a Facebook movie made up from Facebook posts. And while we can’t share our exact movie here, probably because that kind of technology is way over Mom’s head (and it might be illegal to do so), she did sit down and typed out the script and added the photos the Colehaus Cats movie used. Now, keep an open mind. Here it goes:
(simple, upbeat piano tune begins in the background)
(A medium blue background, the Facebook logo and the words, “A look back”)
(Blue background pulls back to show a photo collage of Colehaus Cat pictures uploaded in the last 8 months or so.)
(Photo collage moves to our “I like cats” logo with text, “You joined in 2013”. Actually, we were there in 2012 but voluntarily switched over to a fan page to avoid being deleted. We lost a year but we’re okay with that.)
(Photo collage moves forward to the words, “Your first moments”)
(Background piano music swells to include flute. It’s a happy, heartwarming little ditty.)
(Photo labeled October 2013 of mama-to-be Erinn Zuzu lying on her back just hours before she gave birth to the Niblets.)
(Photo moves on to photo of Angel Cameron in an October 2013 Friday Flashback post.)
(Photo moves on to a photo of Illy looking up over her cardboard box – October 2013.)
(Background music now includes violins and the words read, “Your most liked posts”)
(Photo shows Robbie Niblet in his fleece bed [44 likes] – November 2013)
(Slideshow moves on to Niblets in their new Forty Paws Ham-mick [52 likes – December 2013)
(Slideshow moves to Zuzu’s spay day photo [75 likes] – January 2014)
(Music swelling and slideshow moves to Zuzu’s previous litter kittens, Emmett and Evan who were adopted [54 likes] – January 2014)
(Halfway through movie)
(Blue background with words, “Photos you’ve shared”)
(Photo moves into place showing one of Russell’s last photos before going to his forever home – December 2013)
(Photo moves onto one of Tessa’s snarky looks – December 2013)
(Photo moves to Pia’s looking up and listening for reindeer hooves on the roof – December 2013)
(Photo moves to our shot of a Petco Santa holding a black and white Tuxie kitten hoping for a forever home – December 2013)
(Photo flashes to one of Zuzu after being told she was being adopted by us – January 2014)
(Photo flashes to little Viola sleeping on Dad’s chest – January 2014)
(Photo flashes to a recent Viola just waking up picture – January 2014)
(Photo flashes to photo of Zuzu hugging Viola – January 2014)
(Photo flashes back to photo of Emmett and Evan – January 2014)
(Photo moves back to Colehaus Cats photo collage with Viola in the center surrounded with all the other photos just seen. Collage slows pulls back followed by a white background and the Facebook thumbs up Like button. End of movie.)
Thanks, Facebook. You made Mom all misty-eyed. We think that means you done good!
We loved ours too….we actually videoed ours with our phone lol
That’s a great idea! Unfortuntely, we don’t have a cell phone and tell people we’re just Amish that way.
How cool! Of course you know the scene Dexter pawed at!
we due knot haza facebook page but that iz pretee kewl what they did…N whoa…ten yeerz all reddy !!! we hope they let ewe down load yur videe oh !!!
We did watch your FB video and LOVED it! Mommy was naming each kitty as their picture appeared and smiling at the same time. 🙂
This is so cool!!!
That was very cool.
How did you do it with a page?! I want one for my page. It was always a page, though, never a profile.
We didn’t make up the movie; the Facebook people did it on their own. Mr. Colehaus wanted one for his page too but he didn’t have enough photos for them to make up up.
Your movie was much better than those on FB
Your Facebook movie was awesome! Maybe because we know all the kitties, but we were so excited as we watched. 🙂
That sounds terrific. Who made this for you? We aren’t on Facebook. Mommy says she doesn’t have time; though, our dad does Facebook. Purrs and paw-pats, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Facebook made it for us. We didn’t ask or sign up for one. We’re guessing they made up videos for just about everyone who had enough photos uploaded to do so.
What a sweet collage of memories for you!
I saw this one and loved it. I thought mine dealt too much with those awful Face in Holes I used to do before TW learned Photoshop.
Have you seen ShowmeCats site ? X. We are are on there
I bet it was really lovely,xx Speedy
Posso imaginar como ficou bonito, as fotos são lindas e cheias de significados especiais para vocês, eu também ficaria com os olhos marejados hehehe
I didn’t know you could do it with your page!! 🙁 Though I haven’t had mine for very long.
Yours was brilliant and it really told a super story! xox
That was sure a nice surprise from FB !
Me too got a movie over there 🙂
XOXO
