So I was thinking… I’ve been here for two years now, though it feels like I’ve been here a whole lot longer. Here’s the part that always trips me up… those two years are in people years while two years in people years are really eight or nine years in cat years. So technically, I’ve been here sixteen-to-eighteen cat years, plus my age which as a mature lady, I’m not going to indulge, but I’ll say that puts me somewhere in the neighborhood of ninety-plus years old.
Really? Wait, math is involved there and well, I don’t do math. Therefore, I might as well be four years old! Yeah, I like that, and I’m glad I have time to think about such things.
We like the idea of four compared to ninety-plus too. But, our Mumsy says the sixteen to eighteen sounds pretty good to her!
Hugs!
Ruby we thought you were younger than 4 years old – do you have any tips for us to look as good as you do?
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
Thank you for asking, Hannah and Lucy! My tips for staying young include napping on extra soft blankies, limiting treats and direct sunlight, and using mind power. I’m not ready to get old so I’m just not going to! BTW, I’m between twelve and thirteen years old this year. Maybe even older! That’s a secret.
Ruby, glad you figured all that out. You are so lucky to have such a good home. You all have a great day.
You are so pretty, Ruby.
Mom saw a table online for converting cat people years into cat years (or is it vice versa?) and it wasn’t just multiplying by 8 or nine. The multiplication factor changed over the years. She will try and find the link.
Here, Mom found some references for how to calculate cats ages. The third one even does it for kittens.

Ruby dear I’m right there with you. I’ll be 13 this year.

Mom says my belly is soft. I say her hands tasted very good. MOL!
Ruby, don’t think-just sit and look pretty like you do so well.
You’re only as old as you feel, Ruby ;-o
Pee Ess: The human would like to give you a belly snorgle if you wouldn’t mind?
Not unless belly snorgling is like head scratching. Because I love head scritches. No one comes away from touching my belly without damage.

Querida Ruby, essa matemática gato é engraçada, nós vamos tentar também!
Ruby, you’re right…a lady cat never divulges her true age. ~Zoey
Ruby, I like your math better than human math.
Let’s leave the math to the humans, Ruby. You look fabulous no matter what age you are, dahling!
four sounds a lot better we think.
Emma and Buster
You are looking good Ruby, and that is what matters.
If you’re young at heart, that’s what really matters, Ruby.
4 sounds a lot better dan 90-somefin.
Ruby, I think numbers only matter when they relate to how many times you get to eat in any given day.
Excellent thought, William! I think moms everywhere need to embroider that on our pillows.
Ruby you are so beautiful! Anyway, Mom says a girl is only as old as she feels!
