Day in and day out I hear the same ol’ thing: “Such a pretty girl, oh, you’re such a pretty Ruby.” Just once I’d like to hear someone say, “Such a majestic Queen of the Universe, oh, you’re such a kind and majestic Queen Ruby.”
Can’t blame a girl for dreaming.

Last weekend, because we’re still waiting, waiting, WAITING for the arrival of baby Niblets (Erinn, we’re waiting) and because the baby Niblets still aren’t ready to make their appearance, we wanted to share something, anything regarding kittens. Here’s a few adorably cute and almost adoptable kitten photos from the West Columbia Gorge Humane Society, the no-kill shelter who were completely slammed with abandoned and rescued cats and kittens this past summer. (Can you imagine what that did to their food supply? Yeah, things are very touch and go right now.)
Gosh – now mum is on a kitten overload and is running about squeeing her head off and we must admit we think they do have the squee factor!

Mom says those kittens are so adorable. We must admit that even we think they are pretty cute. Mom says we were little like that once. Hard to believe when you look at us now!
By the way, Queen Ruby, you are awesome and the other fur people should bow at your majesticness! 🙂

Oh my word, the last photo–the kitten looks so sad. 🙁
That poor little kitten had a very rough start and witnessed his twin brother get seriously injured. Luckily, both received the extra attention they needed the very afternoon we photographed him and both are being well fostered until they are old enough to adopt.
I think Queen of the Universe can be arranged! 😉
