Where’s Ruby? Ah, under the covers we see. But wait! Watch out! She’s got those crazy eyes going!
Last month, Ruby integrated herself out in the main part of the house with the rest of the crew, and she had been doing exceptionally well until Sunday night wherein she bolted into her usually closed servant’s quarters three times over the course of five minutes. She had hardly given that room a notice since moving out. And clearly, she really wanted back in! And probably for good reason. Ruby had found her favorite spots, had her own sleeping space in the Cat Den and had made her peace with everyone. Except Olivia. Sweet Olivia thinks it’s fun to taunt and chase poor Ruby and little we’ve done has changed her mind.
So, Ruby’s back in with us 24/7 to give her a break for the next few days and then we’ll try again to get her back out to what we thought was a good routine. Poor Maxx. The servant’s quarters are his alone. Now to have to once again share his special room with another kitty? How unfair!
Under the covers is a great place to hide Ruby when Olivia is being naughty – we hope you can try again soon so you can show Olivia the back of disrespect.

Ruby, you need to learn to stand up to Olivia! Sissy isn’t very big, but she knows how to give me the stink eye when I’m being naughty. Hide under the covers and make a plan of attack 🙂

We like hiding under Mommy’s blankie but silly Mommy worries that Daddy might sit on us! We hope Olivia will learn to co-exist with Ruby.

Purrs for Miss Ruby! We have a couple of tormentors here and it’s a constant “thing” to keep the peace.
Ruby, we feel sorry that you got scared of something. We hope your brave cells will kick in soon. Sometimes we get scared of each other when we have our little squabbles. If Mom’s around, she pets both of us and tells us to put our ears back in place and get along. Sometimes we listen but other times we wait a couple of seconds and then start chasing each other again. I hope all the other kitties understand that you just want some time and space to yourself. Hang in there. We’re sending lots of purrs and soft paw pats your way!
