If you missed it, we posted our Dear Niblets, Week Eight letter here. Our Niblets boys have just a week left before they join their forever homes and the loving families who have been patiently waiting so long.

Quint says: All last week my dad was on vacation and we got to sleep late every day… or at least, that was the plan. After many nights of my dad and me staying up until three and four in the a.m. watching movies and eating popcorn and cheese, mom decided we might have needed a slight change of schedule. Needless to say, I wasn’t exactly signed up on her scheme.
But I love my mom and everyone knows that moms know best. On that very morning and lucky for me, my painting studio was all set up before I’d barely opened my eyes. I’ll admit I was a little cranky at first when presented with a palette of paint instead of what I like to call my morning coffee – A few Feline Greenies. And mom said I was too much of a handful to get pictures but you know how much I don’t like that flashy box anyway, especially so early in the morning afternoon!
But all it took was a couple of paw dips and the ol’ painting spirit came upon me like gangbusters! I was flinging paint left and right, dabbing here, dabbing there. And then, I was done!
I hope you like my first 2013 holiday work that my mom is calling Holly Berries. I tried to keep it simple, not because I was barely awake but because in this hectic, manic world, sometimes simple is soothing. Please click on my painting to enbiggen, or if you’d really like, visit my art shop to see this and the rest of my work for sale. You know, I hear a big holiday is coming up *wink wink*
I’m working on a second 2013 holiday piece that I’ll make sure my mom posts about later this week. That one will be more colorful and festive and is inspired by all the bright, sparkly lights I can see from my windows. I can’t wait to finish that set.
Well, my dad is back at work this week and that means getting back to the old schedule… which I promise to do right after this much-needed nap. Happy Monday!
Quint, our mommy loves that new painting and can’t wait to see the next set as well. You really do look tuckered out. Have a nice snooze. The photo of Russell and Robbie is adorable. We are really going to miss them. Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Both me and my mom-person LOVE your new Holiday painting <3

Mom’s getting all misty about Russell and Robbie leaving your house. We keep telling her that they are going to great homes but you know how Mom’s are! We happen to think that you have really expanded with your painting skills. You are awesome, dude!!! 🙂

Quint, adorei a sua nova pintura, ela tem cores natalinas, muito apropriado para este mês. Lamento que suas férias com papai acabaram, ficar acordado até tarde é muito legal!
Quint, we love your holiday painting. We’re gonna ask the mom to get us one of your paintings for Christmas.
The mom has been on vacation all week long too…she goes back to that work place tomorrow. We’re gonna miss having her home with us!
Quint you are a regular DaVinci!
You outdid yourself, Quint, with the holly berry painting! Be sure to rest up good after your dad and your late nights.
Those little boys sure look cute but I bet they don’t have your talent, Quint!
We’re going to miss hearing about those little boys, but they have amazing adventures ahead of them.
We can’t wait to see what other paintings Quint has planned.
Quint, we know that Art cannot be hurried, although you did some beautiful impromtu work!
Quint, We are sooooo impressed by your holly berries. Of course you need a very good nap after all that hard artistic effort.
