Found napping near Olivia, Viola says, Look! I’m napping with a big cat!”
We’ve seen Viola snuggled close to Miss Newton (but not touching) whose coloring is very, very similar to Zuzu’s. Maybe it was a mistake, the Viola snuggling close part, not the similar color part, but Miss Newton didn’t seem to mind Viola too much. Hopefully, we’ll have a camera nearby next time, to capture Viola near Miss Newton, not Miss Newton close to Zuzu, though if that ever happened, what a great day that would be!

Probably as no surprise, Tessa spends most of her day on high things while growling at Viola when the little one is out in the main part of the house. But for all the noise, Tessa sure keeps a close eye on her. Tessa jumps from chair to chair, chair arms to chair backs and onto the short wall and back again depending on where Viola is scampering off to. She can’t take her eyes off her! Secretly, we think Tessa is curious about Viola, just not enough to actually jump down and check her out on her level up close. Silly girl!
Tessa will come around. It sounds like she’s too curious not to! Glad Viola is fitting in so well already to the general population.
It does seem that Tessa is curious about Viola. Paws crossed for a peaceful integration with all, in time. 🙂

We think they will be great buddies when they get over the sniffing and watching of each other phase. Tessa may find she has a shadow!

Tallia has done the same with our mini-Schnauzer “Sophie”. It first Tallia didn’t know what to make of her and would arch her back, growl and hiss. For several days she played “tough kitty” with the weird looking cat (actually a dog). Put she slowly let her guard down as Sophie was very patient with the busy kitty. Fast forward, they now play most of the day together and have an absolute blast. When playtime ends it’s not unusual to see them hop into the same chair exchange a little cleaning and then nap.
You go, Viola! We know you’ll have the entire household in your little paws in NO time!
Hey, you never know what those lil tots might do. Watching carefully is definitely a wise move.
It is so much fun to watch a little one stake out furends and forge alliances.
Our Einstein is branching out to play with anycat who will give him a run around!

Tessa is getting better with Viola. Now it’s Zuzu she can’t stand. Zuzu isn’t terribly fond of Tessa either, but we have lots of patience. This will be a long process.
