I’m told I should be able to hear the holidays coming. What do holidays sound like? Is it bells, like in my sister Pia’s jingly mousies? Mousies aren’t holidays. They are just… mousies! Are they crashing and banging, like my sister Tessa when she’s had too much silvervine? That can’t be right. Tessa isn’t the holidays. I’m not sure what hearing the holidays means.
I’ll bet it’s not the sound of scritchy scratching on my tower post either.
Oh, Ceiling Cat, tell me what the holidays sound like. And tell me it’s not the sound of baby sister Viola scratching on my post all the live-long day!
While I’m waiting to hear back from almighty Ceiling Cat, and I’m certain he’ll reply, well, almost certain, maybe pretty certain even, let me share my winter paintings with you. Please click to enbiggen.
I’d been itching to paint for what seemed like weeks and weeks. Mom says it was two days, tops. I think she’s always downplaying things. Finally, I got to dip my paw in that oozy gooey paint and with mom whispering for me to be gentle this time, I created soft winter paintings we’re calling, “Winter’s Frost.” And what great timing, huh? It snowed here, there, almost everywhere last week and has been extra frosty ever since!
They come in 8 by 10 inch art paper size or 4 by 4 inch canvas size. The art paper size comes with a white 8 by 10 inch mat and are ten green papers plus shipping. The 4 by 4 inch canvas size comes with a simple, small easel and are fifteen green papers plus shipping. Both come with my postcard, a new one that I really like. See? That’s me on the front, listening for the sound of the holidays… or just being attentive. I like being attentive.
I hope you like my Winter’s Frost paintings and give a thought of looking more closely at them over at my Art Shop. Maybe you’ll want a Winter’s Frost for your very own. If you like my 4 by 4 inch canvas size best of all and are interested in giving one a forever home (that size isn’t shown yet at my shop), let my mom know she needs to get on the ball at cats at colehaus dot com. She’s pretty good about things like that and I promise she won’t downplay your decision.
* waves * Hi Mom!
I am highly delighted, Quint, that after what is obviously forever, you have been allowed to express yourself once again! Da Vinci never had these constraints, I’m sure!! 🙂
Quint, the holidays sound like the rattle of treat bags and presents, and they smell like yummy foods! 🙂
We’re glad you’re painting again!
Quint, someday I’d like to have one of your paintings; they are bee-yu-tee-ful! And you are such a charmer; look at the puss on that puss! I’ve never heard the holidays coming; they run me over like a freight train every year!
Quint, it’s beautiful! I’m so happy to see your new works for winter! I don’t know about you, but it’s my favorite season to paint.
Quint, you are so talented. I think your mom needs to get you a whole studio of your own!
Quint, purlease tell us how you keep your furs so pristine white with your penchant for painting? You always look purrfect. We like your new art, but Mom has her eye on the violets. We are going to tell Dad and maybe he will get it for her for Christmas. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Mom will say I’m a neat freak but I’ll go on record as saying,… um, yeah, my mom’s right. Besides, toesie cleanings are the best! Don’t you agree?
How cool that you are back at the canvas, Quint! I think you are capturing the season quite well.
Your painting is beautiful, dear Quint! 🙂 Have a PAWSOME day, sweetie! 😀 xx Roxy & Tigerlino
