It is with heavy hearts that we report Seth, our comfort cat, has passed. He fought an internal infection, rebounded to near-perfection after two full rounds of Clavamox (about six weeks) and returned to giving us his all in the short period of time he had left. What no one knew was that his heart had enlarged dramatically and finally failed. He never complained, even as he struggled to breathe and we raced him to the doctor. He gave us his hugs until the end and then, with our favorite vet in attendance, he slipped away and was no more.
Seth was our comfort cat from the very moment we found each other; us shopping for litter at PetSmart, him shopping for a forever home from an adoption cage at PetSmart. He was his dad’s boy but shared his love with his mom nearly as much.
He was the glue that brought so many of our kitties together in peace, both with the current crew and the older bunch that are all gone now, save Maxx.
From a horrible start – abused, neglected and then rescued, he joined our family and made it whole. We won’t forget you, Seth. Go in peace knowing you are still very much loved and meet up with the others who went before. Until we see you again, love Mom and Dad.

We are so sorry to hear this sad news and know you will miss Seth so very much. He will watch over you all from Rainbow Bridge and if you feel a slight breeze when you are sitting quietly you will know he has come to check you are all OK. He will be meeting old friends at the Bridge and will live in eternal sunshine.

This post makes my heart hurt. Though we have been through this scenario ourselves, we feel the sadness of your loss and want to take each of you in our arms and offer our comfort and love. I am writing for the boys because they are so sad about Seth. It’s so hard to lose those loving fur people. He knows how much he was loved and is probably telling everyone about that now. I hope he finds my kitties who have crossed over the bridge. We’re all sending you lots of hugs and purrs. Hang in there and keep loving all those you so wonderfully rescue. Give the other kitties extra hugs and treats ‘cuz they are probably confused and wondering where Seth is.

Please know that we are so sorry for your loss. Seth was one of those Special Kitties that come along rarely, we know he’ll be missed. We lost a furbling, Dusty, to an enlarged heart also and it was too fast to say goodbye.

awwww…Seth, Seth….what a fight you put up and all so you could have a bit more time with your furramily and Mom and Dad. I know, one night, they will feel your sweet paws cross along their bed…softly…no other cat will be on the bed…just you and Mom and Dad….and they will know for sure you are alright again; that your heart is well again and you can still feel their love and they yours.
