An UPDATE on Sunny’s dental work last Friday: Thank you for all your purrs and good thoughts! Sunny came through her first ever dental cleaning with flying colors! No extractions, no cracked teeth, no bleeding gums or sores. No toofies for the Tooth Fairy’s collection, we not sorry to say.
Sunny’s been on pain meds over the weekend and if we think she needs more, she can have them. Our favorite vet also drained and removed that big fluid cyst on her back and found an underlying mass which they also removed. We’ll know more about the mass sometime next week when the test comes back. As for now, she is comfortable but with a shaved back and a two-inch row of stitches that she’ll have removed next week. No photos of her stitches. It is not pretty to see and a girl needs her space when she doesn’t look her absolute best.

Another Monday. Another great opportunity for snuggling with Tessa and Quint. A yawn or two and it’s time for a nap.
Quint settles in, snuggling against Tessa’s extra soft and warm belly furs. You just knew her belly was like that, right? It is!
And to seal the deal on a long, uninterrupted afternoon nap…
… they hold paws. Mom says not to gaze upon this too long because the cute is extra powerful with these two.
Hugs to Dunny and OMCs what adorable snuggling
Hugs Madi your bfff
Am keeping my fingers crossed that Sunny’s mass turns out to be a big nothing-burger. Quint-Tessa naps are adorable!
Awwww cute overload for sure. So happy Sunny came thru her dental extractions with flying colors. She did much better than I did cuz when I was adopted at about age 2, the vet had to pull all my toothies because of stomatitis – a horrible mouth disease. So when we hear of a kitty like Sunny that comes thru dental surgery with flying colors, we are extremely happy.
And they are WHITE paws!!! My weakness (in addition to cuddling kitties). We’re glad Sunny did well. Sunny and Bear sound similar with their strange combination of dentals and masses. Bear had a tumor on his back almost two years ago – the vet thought it would be rather easy to remove and he’d have plenty of time to extract one of Bear’s molars. Until the vet got in there and didn’t like the look of the tumor and had Bear under three times longer than he planned to get a big enough margin just in case it was cancerous (and an eight inch incision which broke my heart). We got lucky that it was a lipoma – not cancer – though a decent amount of tissue had died because the blood supply wasn’t enough to support it. We hope Sunny’s mass is something similar and won’t require additional treatment (or worry!!!). Sending all of you love and prayers for healing.
Glad all went swimmingly and sending positive energy about the mass, praying it is nothing! Sunny was braver than I am going to be at the dentist this Wednesday (and this is the HUMAN talking!! lol)
OMC, the holding paws is just too much to bear! We’re crossing our own paws for a good report on Sunny’s mass.
What sweet pics! We are purring for good mews on Sunny. Glad to hear all went well with the teefs.

Nice naps with kitty pillow. Mum says she wishes she could use me for a pillow, but she knows her head too heavy.
