Over the past week, we’ve been storm watching with Quint and are amazed at the colors Autumn has brought to our garden. Always fascinated by blowing wind and leaves, Quint has practically camped out at his favorite window near the kitchen sink where he can also keep an eye on squirrels and other garden visitors.

But it’s the maple leaves outside his window that demand our attention at this time of year. Greens, oranges, yellows, and browns glowing against a brief clear blue sky.

And the blueberry bushes red against the green cedars, leaves so red they don’t seem real. And you know what it means when the season brings new color to the garden?

Introducing Quint’s Autumn Lights 2016. Using his light touch/soft paw method, and with a little help from Mom providing branches, he’s recreated the changing maples seen outside his window. His Autumn Lights 2016 paintings are available for purchase at his art shop with all proceeds from each sale going to pay for Sunny’s veterinary bill.

Ah, the artist in repose. A well-earned rest after his feverish endeavors–he needs his relaxation! I mean we don’t want him to go all Van Gogh-ish. Lopsided is not a good look for a cat.

The leaf colors can be wunnerful. We used to have many but they got dull. So TBT is adding more small ones of nice colors.
The branches were just the right touch to totally make this look like the gorgeous fall leaves. We are very late with getting any color this year, and it seems as if many leaves are simply falling off the trees without changing. The photos of those outside Quint’s window are gorgeous. That’s how our autumn went last year. The leaves simply fell off the trees with little-to-no color change. We thought it might have been because of the drought. Last year was horrible for our area that is usually swimming in rainfall.
