Sitting in a newly discovered high, lofty spot and guarded by the serene brass spout of flowing water, wise 10 year old Viola watches all who approach and depart with squinty eyes and silent meows. You may stay, she acknowledges with a nod. You can take yourself elsewhere, she scowls.
Hours later, as the lowering sun fills her private countertop perch, Viola basks in warmth, and occasionally sneaks a side-eye at nearby bananas. You can never be too sure of the intentions of bananas as Viola believes to be true, based solely upon the fact the high-and-mighty bananas are always on the countertop while she is told not to be.

That makes no sense. The bananas should be on the floor and kitties on the counter. 🙂
Viola you are a pretty princess who knows how to pick the best spots! Big soft pets on the head and under the chin scratch. Love from my gang..Alex, Sodfa ( who looks just like you..meow) and Nelly..xoxoxoxo
That’s right! 😃 😊 😀 😄 😁
Just who do those bananas think they are, Viola?
I’d much rather look at a beautiful kitty on the counter than a banana.
Stupid insolent bananas, You do you, Viola!
