In other non-two-word words, today we take Sunny’s um, urine to the vet so they can see if her UTI is gone or not. We sure hope so! She was on a special, culture-specific antibiotic for a week and she let us know she was feeling better after day five when Mom started wearing more of the liquid medication than was getting down Sunny’s throat! That girl is an extra tough one to medicate.

Two lovely orange ladies here. Speaking of orange… Toby went through multiple UTIs. We finally sent off a sample to an outside lab for the official report. Turns out the recent ones were caused by stress, not bacteria. So we went on wet Hill’s CD and that ended the problems there,
Way to go, Toby! Good to know wet Hill’s CD helped that problem. We may be switching to that food soon.

Just for our own knowledge, can the pee be in a litterbox pee pod or does it have to be pure liquid. We are cracking up thinking of a Being having ta collect it directly…
LOL! We used to wonder ourselves if one of us were going to have to squat there with a little paper cup or something, waiting, waiting, waiting for someone to come along and go. Ewwww! Our vet uses this stuff called hydrophobic sand that is non-absorbent and that’s what we came home with. No paper cup! The sand goes into a clean, empty litter box, the box and Sunny spent the evening alone in the cat room, and in the morning, she had used the sand which, because it is non-absorbent, allows the urine to collect as liquid right on top. Along with the sand kit from our vet, is a little squeezey tube that you collect up the urine with to put in the included vial. Pop on the cap, label the bag it goes in, and off you go to the vet for testing. So much easier than we thought it would ever be!
Aw, poop Missy is having more medical issues than TW. Only, no one could have that many. Sending healing purrz that the sample was clean.
