We’ve been having work done, at last, on rebuilding our shower and well, it’s noisy. Whenever workers enter our house, four cats race upstairs and burrow under the blankets on our bed. And when the workers enter the room to get to the bathroom shower, those four cats burrow even deeper into the blankets. And then, stay trapped there, of their own doing, until the workers leave, despite all the hammering and drilling and pounding.
Mom or Dad are right out in the adjourning room, mere steps away in case anyone needs comforting words, or a lap to sit on, but no, those cats choose to spend the day under covers.
See the photographic evidence above. On the left are Quint and Pia with Tessa in the middle. To the right is Olivia. And where is the baby?
That brave girl Viola is taking in some sunshine downstairs without much of a care in the world. She even let a worker give her chin scritchies!

That’s our Viola…getting some lovin’ despite her scaredy cat clowder!
Viola is a brave girl.
Yup, under the blankets is always a good place of safety. You are brave, Viola.
A few years ago we had to have both the furnace and hot water heater replaced weeks apart. Mudpie loved hanging out with the workmen!
You are brave Viola!
We bet it is VERY noisy. We might be under those covers, too!
So brave, Viola!
Our gang would be under the covers too!
