If you didn’t catch our breaking news last Friday, Teese was accepted into our local No-Kill shelter where she will have her best shot at adoption. No more living with raccoons, no more getting beat up by neighbor cat W, no more worrying about her out alone in the weather.
We took Teese to the shelter Saturday, after Miss Newton’s latest blood pressure recheck, and Mom’s been a blubbering mess of sniffles and tears ever since. Don’t let anyone tell you fostering/caring for cats who are not yours is easy. After working to gain Teese’s trust since last December, it’s hard to look out in the backyard and not see that black and white sweetheart comfortably lounging somewhere, waiting for human attention.
Teese is easing into shelter living where she’s getting lots of attention and we hope, making new friends. Please join us in celebrating the next step in Teese’s transition from abandoned to looking for her forever home with a final baker’s dozen photos:
Until we meet again, sweetheart…

Aww,,,, What a beauty she is! Hoping she finds her forever home with a kind, loving family. Thank you Carole for taking care of her. I agree. She would be hard to let go. Hope you can keep us updated on the adoption front.

that is pawesome news. She is such a gorgeous, gorgeous cat that I will be stunned if no one adopts her. Thank God she won’t have to defend herself any longer, and I pray she receives the love that she so deserves!!!!! xoxo
What’s best for the cat, what’s best for the cat, what’s best for the cat…just keep saying that, and you’ll still feel like you’ve handed over your own child! Teese’s life is on a much better track now; you know it, and YOU DID IT! Sending hugs.
We know how much you are going to miss this sweet baby after being her guardian for nearly a year. One reason Mom doesn’t foster is that she gets too attached. Hope the shelter will keep you advised when she gets her forever home. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy
Teese wandering in your your yard on little kitty paws and left a teeny piece of herself in your heart. Letting go of her was very brave and the best thing for her. All your work getting her used to you will surely make her a purrfect adoptable kitty
Hugs madi your bfff and mom
I’m sure it is sad, not seeing Teese around anymore. I know she will be well-loved at the shelter, and I am crossing my paws that she finds a home VERY soon!

We purr that Teese’s time in the shelter is short-lived and she finds her home soon. You did a good thing. 🙂
We are so happy for Teese. We all know you wanted to keep her but you really do have a full house. She reminds all of us here so much of Hemingway. She would make the perfect girlfriend for him. You do so much to keep the wild life happy and safe. You will be blessed beyond measure. We are so happy to call you friend.
Stereo purrs…………Hemingway and Steinbeck

I hope Teese gets a forever home soon.
Hope that Teeses gets adopted soonest.
We’re so glad Teese is safe! She’s a sweetheart and it’s no wonder we’ve all fallen in love with her. Hopefully, she’ll know the safety and love of a forever home soon. And shame on whomever was cruel enough to abandon her.
É um gato lindo, espero que encontre um lar amoroso e para sempre.
É um misto de alegria e tristeza quando um gatinho que cuidamos vai embora.
Couldn’t do it. That’s why I’m not allowed to foster. She’s gorgeous.
We’re sad and happy at the same time. Thank you for all you’ve done to help Teese have a better (no, BEST) life. You guys rock. Hugs!
