Quint. Quint. Oh, Quint.
Oh, Quinty.
argh . . . mmmmm . . . I’m sleeping here . . . go away!
Quint, it’s Monday. Do you want a ManCat blog post today?
Not really. Do I have to? I was sleeping.
Well, you can’t sleep all day, can you?
YAWN . . .
Actually, yeah, I can sleep all day. I’m a cat that way.
Don’t you want to let everyone know how you’re doing? It’s been a while since you had an update.
I’m not going to talk about my pooping, if that’s what you’re referring to, Mom.
No, I just thought you might want to check in, let everyone know you’re doing exceptionally well at eating canned food now, how much of a very sweet bed cat you’ve become. You know, the important stuff.
Ah, yes. The important stuff. Stuff like this, perhaps?
Yeah, like this is important stuff.
Or maybe you meant this important thing?
Yes, Quint, that important thing. You’ll always be our little prince.
Quint has been doing pretty well. When he’s not on a hunger strike, he’s on canned food every day with a sprinkle of special Fiber Response kibble diet food on the side that he really, really likes. But sometimes, he just doesn’t feel like eating his canned food and so, some weeks are hit or miss despite all our tricks to make the food more appealing. We expect this will be a lifelong thing with him.
We’ve taken walks with him outside but his main interest is in the abundance of bumblebees we have this year instead of his usual interest in flowers. When we’ve set up his paint studio afterward, he sits there and looks at us like we’re crazy people. “You want me to what?” he seems to be saying.
We tried to integrate him back out in the main house with everyone else like he used to be, before he was ill back in February, but he cried at the bedroom door to be let back in, and then, he’d go on his hunger strike. This is one boy who loves the bed and sleeping tucked under the covers day and night! As of Friday night, he suddenly decided he wanted to stay out of our bedroom overnight, but wanted back in to sleep the next morning. And that’s where it all sits as of today. Orange and white ManCats. Who can figure them out?

What a Handsome Boy! Quint’s markings are gorgeous! Nice Ruddy Orange color too! Very Nice!
We’re glad Quint is eating (except for the hunger strikes) Funny how his routine has changed so much.

We’re glad to get a Quint update but clearly he was disgruntled to be disturbed. Poor little guy. It can take awhile to get over things but sometimes… It’s never the same again, and we have to adjust to a new normal. We do hope he returns to painting eventually.
Keep ’em guessing Quint. Yes we can sleep all day if needed.
Quint you gotta eat more regularly pal! We love your photos too!
Oh, my! Hope he adjusts to his new normal but we kinda miss the old artistic side of Quint. As long as he’s doing okay, we are happy though.

Quint, don’t worry…we all talk about cat poop around here, so don’t be embarrassed about that! Could he have a queasy stomach, and that’s why he’s off and on food? And all of that sleeping…
We hope you’ll find your painting muse again, Quint…I only have three original Quints so far! Can I talk you into making holiday cards for me?
Quint, we’re glad you’re doing better. We understand about the sleeping. We do a lot…and we mean a lot…of that too.
It’s interesting to read about his “hunger strikes.” Ringo has always done this too, and we can’t figure it out. He’ll turn up his nose at previously loved foods, yet will try to eat the more “interesting” food that Benny has. We think you should trademark QuinToes. LOL
dood….a catz gotta due what a catz gotta due N if it meenz sleepin 23… then ya can at leest save a yawn for nother day…rite !! we hope ya find yur paintin

We’re glad to hear Quint is eating better, and we hope he finally finds a new routine. Purrs
These pictures almost fall into the “too cute” category. There’s a legal limit to cuteness! Just kidding. Thank you for the pictures.
Quint…I am glad you are better and I hope you go back to your usual ways. But if you don’t…as long as you are feeling alright and doing well…I am happy. XXX
Quint…you look most handsome….and after all you went through I say what ever you want is what should happen.
Hugs madi and mom
Happy Mancat Monday, Quint. Glad you are starting to eat a little more now. We love the photos that you shared. You showing your claws like Wolverine for waking you up during your nap. Hope you are doing well. Have a great day.
It sounds like Quint still needs some more purrs, so I’m sending them his way.
I sure am glad you are doing good Quint and your special room is a place you can enjoy any old time you want!
They each have their own personality, and it seems as if Quint has decided what suits him at the moment. Hope he will decide to start painting again. Our mom loves his art. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
I am glad Quint has been feeling pretty good. He is such a cutie. I wish he would feel like painting 🙂 XO
I am glad Quint is doing better and eating more. Those hunger strikes can be so frustrating though, can’t they.
We are admiring the large sharp claws and the nice pointy teeth.
What a sweet boy! And downright adorable too! We’re glad he’s doing so well. My kitties can’t have claws like that unless I want to end up in the ER!
