After a few days of cool-ish weather, we’re back to hot temperatures. And what’s a cat to do? Certainly not housework. That’d be silly because they’d just get more fur on everything. So, the best option, clearly, is to nap the day away. Tell us you wouldn’t do the same thing if you had the chance.
Quint’s snuggled in the big carrier that we still have sitting out since July 4th. It was so popular weeks following fireworks day, we left it out and he sleeps in it every night. Just as good for naps too, we see.
Tessa’s out like a light in a hammock on a window ledge seat. When not stealing boxes or searching for trouble, she spends long afternoons here.
Pia’s thinking about a nap and it’s probably safe to assume she isn’t thinking about that haircut she’ll be getting sometime soon.
Not Viola. She’s comfortable and maybe thinking about a nap, but she definitely not sleeping at the moment.

I think I need a nap too.
Naps are so different for cats than for humans!
Someone I know very well took a nap on Sunday afternoon, only to awake to be confused on what day it was, what time it was, and they thought they were late for work!
You’ll never see a cat so flustered. Never.
Dearest Steve and Carole,
You got some happy and content kitties living at your home.
Yes, the weather at times is inviting us for napping!
Sleeping in the large pet carrier might take the fear out of having to travel in it to the vet…
So, Pia needs a haircut, that is quite something for a kitty!
Big hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
A nap is a great idea no matter the weather.
Napping is the very best thing to do in this disgusting heat and humidity!
Good napping, thinking about napping, and almost napping, you cuties!
Naptime is any time, including now, I think.
