Today, we’re listing five items that may or may not be true. Three are absolute truths and two are wild statements without any truth whatsoever. Can you spot the fibs?
1. Angel Sunny’s favorite reading book was Raymond Chandler’s Short Cuts, though she thought he was a bit longwinded here and there.
2. When Quint spent the night at the emergency vet (back in February), Olivia pulled out most of her fur on her legs and belly in protest. Only recently has she allowed it to grow back.
3. Miss Newton despises Mom’s singing and lets the world know her displeasure by howling in the echo chamber we call our foyer.
4. Cashiers in the checkout line of our local pet food store regularly give visiting Viola dog biscuits, which she enjoys licking.
5. Mom once tried to get a gallon of interior house paint in the exact color of Tessa’s eyes.
Think you know these Colehaus Cats? How’d you do?
Answers: Numbers 2, 3, and 5 are truths. Olivia has most of her fur back, Miss Newton loves the foyer for her daily howling sessions, especially when Mom really gets fired up, and yes, Mom loves the color of Tessa’s eyes that much. What she didn’t take into account was the different shades of green Tessa’s eyes show depending on how much trouble Tessa is determined to get into every day.
Numbers 1 and 4 are complete fibs. Anyone who knew Angel Sunny knew she was a Ray Bradbury fan and would leave the room whenever a Raymond Chandler book was opened. As for dog biscuits, while we think Viola might sniff one, we have serious doubts she would lick one. Neither has she ever visited our local pet food store though Mom wishes she could take her someday.
So what are some of your facts or fibs?

For the first time, I absolutely knew #1 was balderdash, but I was vacillating #2 & #4, because I don’t remember hearing about this nervous condition. Glad your fur is growing back, Olivia! Jigsaw puzzle now on my weekend radar!
Mom and I just shared a moment of dancing…a wee moment.
She told me my breaths smelled like tender beef to which I replied well yours smells like coffee. Both truths
Hugs madi your bfff
Those were good and I’m glad the furs are growing back!
viola…..oh lay may bee we dinna due sew grate with thiz quizz but for SURE we new ewe woodna triez a d.a.w.g. bizcuit !!!!!! 😉 ♥♥♥
N thatz spozed ta bee oh KAY…knot oh lay…furst spellin izzue of de yeer ~~~ 🙂
I failed the test! Tough.
#3, Buster hates mom singing, he’d howl back at her and she’d stop instantly!
We knew #1 was a fib. And we thought maybe Viola liked (licked) a biscuit now and then.
Finally! I usually do really badly at these – but I managed to get the truths right. You do look totally innocent, Tessa! I bet the other cats always start it! Poor Olivia. Bear’s spent most of his life with a belly a bit short on fur – though oddly enough it’s not that bad right now. Maybe due to age – or maybe because of his sister – he doesn’t lick his fur off anymore. I love figuring out dynamics between cats – I wonder if she sees Quint as a protector or best friend or something else.
I guessed all 3 right! I wasn’t sure between 4 and 5 but decided on 5 before I looked.
Miss Newton must be a joy to hear. No really she must…..
Erm……
OK that’s a fib….
I got them all right!
That was tough, I thought they all sounded like fibs 🙂 I am off to do the puzzle 🙂
I got them right! I didn’t think Viola went to pet stores… or I would have seen a post about that here, I’m sure.
Yay, we got them right! Those were lots of fun. We don’t ever remember you sharing that Viola visited pet stores. 🙂
Fun facts ! We got almost all of them right (we were not sure for #1). Purrs
We thought they were all good enough to be true! Angel Minchie loved to go in the bathroom and sing the song of his people at the loudest decibel he could muster.
8:09 in the jigsaw puzzle…woo hoo!
