*Don’t know what it is with cats on the bannister lately overlooking the twenty-plus foot drop to the foyer floor but no cat(s) was harmed and mom still managed to avoid a heart attack. Whew!

Help the Colehaus Cats
Wonder if you can string a safety net across, just in case! When Angel and Chuck were kittens, I put sticky tape all around the stairs and hall, preventing them from going through the railing and falling down to the first floor. Now, they cannot fit through those openings! But I remember my worries, whenever I dream of having kittens again…which is often!
OH MY CATS!!! My uncle used to have a loft overlooking his dining room table. The drop was about 20′ too… His kitties used to jump down to the table which broke the distance then the floor.
Hugs madi your bfff
I am glad no one was hurt and Mom didn’t have a heart attack.
I’d be worried about them jumping, too. One of my previous cats lost the tip of a fang in a bannister fall. The tooth started dying years later and had to be removed–no small expense. We hope these climbers stay safe 🙂
Yeah, I think I WOULD have had a heart attack! Yikes! But I love how they all share the tree!
That bannister sounds like FUN! I take flying leaps from the top of the spiral staircase!
Dang, that sure is way up there!
Lucy will jump down off a 6 foot fence which isn’t anywhere near as high as you jump and Mum holds her breath until she lands safely.
Luv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
We would constantly be monitoring that area if we had one. . .
My beautiful ‘lil bean rules the roost (well the bannister, and apparently the upper level of the cat tree anyway!) Love to you my sweetest Ginger Princess! ~ your D.
guys…ewe R gonna hafta start callin thiz …..WHOA…WATCH OUT …WEDNESDAY …quint….dood…just az much danger leepin onto two olivia….did her give ewe a what for when ya did !! ♥♥♥
The conclusion was the best with Pia still getting the upper paw by getting the top bunk and with Quint and Olivia curled up together. Precious. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
É preciso toda uma estratégia para se chegar aonde se quer. hehehehe
Pia você ficou com o melhor lugar!
I can see why that might be scary to the humans but it looks like fun to me!
We know it’s fun but humans scare easily. When I was younger I used to climb right to the top of the oak tree and walk out on the branches about 60 feet up. Mum used to almost have a fit.
I would be on the verge of a heart attack too!!!
You kitties like to live on the edge.
Emma and Buster
Pia, you really do look like you were judging your brother. Did Patrol Sargent Zuzu teach this to you?
I would luv to have somewhere up high like dat to sit!
Good thing you jumped down that way, Quint. 🙂
Great photos!
Have a super Wednesday…
Noodle and crew
Looks like you kittehz have had some traffic jams…
Mighty fine choice, Quint. It looks like everything ended up pretty Kumbaya-esque in the end. 🙂
