I see you, cherries. Sitting over there, away from your group. July’s on its way out. That doesn’t mean you can take off, too. I’m watching you. And July? You can just leave now.
Clearly, Olivia’s not a fan of July. She’s more of an August girl, we think.
Viola might be wary of the cherries, too.
Oops! Spoke too soon. Turned out, Viola is a BIG cherry fan. We didn’t let her bite into that cherry, but later in the day, she got up on the counter (we’d like to meet the one person on the planet whose cat NEVER gets up on counters), then she took one cherry out of the bowl, dropped it on the floor and proceeded to bat it all over.
This cherry was juicy. Extra juicy. There was cherry juice all over the floor, even splashed up onto a wall and cabinet door. Mom just about had a heart attack, thinking someone was bleeding, thinking maybe Tessa and Viola finally did each other in. Nope. Cherry juice and a whole cherry with two punctures sitting there in the middle of the mess.
We’re assuming it was Viola. We’ll also assume we’re idiots for leaving those juicy cherries in a bowl sitting out on the counter to fend for themselves. Everyone knows cherries are terrible at defense. Okay, got it. Lesson learned. *glares at Viola*

We bet those cherries would make for some fun toys too. The year is just zipping by!
Viola, you were framed!
Around Eastside Cats, if it’s sorta round, it’s fair game! Garbanzo beans are always being swatted (but why can’t The Hubby keep them up on the counter?!?), as well as various other beans, dried or fresh.
Those cherries do look irresistible! My cats would do the same thing that Viola did if they were left alone with a bowl of cherries. I would find them all mushed up on the floor somewhere (and probably under the couch). Adorable photos!
Now that’s a pretty darn tasty toy!
Looks like the purrfect toy to us. Mom wishes she could keep us off the counters, but she knows that cat fur is not only an accessories but a condiment as well. XOCK, angel Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo, Cooper Murphy and Sawyer
Viola is clever. Cherry juice is very good for you 🙂
First thing we thought was how much fun they would be to whap. Even better if they are juicy!!!

Those cherries were too much of a temptation for Viola to resist.
Viola, you biting into the cherry photo is just the best. We are happy that August is here. One month closer to hopefully getting cooler weather in the fall time. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.
Viola, that’s quality control duties you were performing there, right?
Ha! If a cat is physically capable, they are getting on that counter. If their human thinks they aren’t, they are supremely deluded.
My human loves cherries. She also loves July (it’s her birthday month)… except for this one. It was not one of her better Julys.
We can hardly believe we’re in August now. Sheesh!
Viola, it’s not your fault you batted that cherry around. We wouldn’t be able to resist, either.
Hugs!
Awesome toy!
We have seen those “cherries” around. TBT loves to eat them. And is thrilled that they are now available for months.
But we NEVER thought to bat them around. We SHOULD have as tey are roundish. But wait until next time, when we can… MOL!
Hahaha. Sounds like Viola is the perfect mix of Bear (Mr. I’ll taste anything) and Ellie (Miss I’ll play with anything)! Olivia and the cherries? Sounds like a band!
LOL. This made me smile.
