Goodbye June. We thank you for giving us only 6 days of 90-plus degree weather and some much needed rain. You seemed to race by fast and that was fine with us. Please share your speed secrets with July and you’ll make us very happy.
Mom’s working an extra long schedule for most of the summer and while it’s not fun, she says she’ll be better for it in the long run. She also says she’s not going to think about giving up summer as long as she can afford to buy fresh summer fruit every once in a while and just as long as she gets most of it. Viola, stop stealing the cherries.

I love it when it is time for summer fruit! We have almost finished our strawberries already so will have to get them from our fruit and veg man. I may be biased but I don’t think they are as good as ours.
