The other day, Dad asked me how I got to be so independent and as I shifted away to the other far chair, I thought, “Me? Independent?”
Am I independent? I’ve always been this way. What’s not being independent? My mama raised me to be my own cat, to do my own cat things. Is that being independent? I sleep downstairs when everyone else is upstairs. I eat overnight when everyone else eats during the day. Mom says I’m a mystery pooper because no one catches me doing my business. Is all that being independent, or am I just being a cat? I am a cat, right? Please don’t tell me after all this time I’m something other than a cat.
Okay, whew! I can see that I’m a cat. One question answered.

I see Mr. G under the chair. Viola, sounds like you are an introvert. XO
You are definitely a cat, Olive. You just like to do your own thing.
Sorry, Viola. I was just on Three Chatty Cats blog and left my brain there!
You are definitely a cat Viola, a unique cat, but a cat. I would never have spotted Mr. G. if it wasn’t for the clues in the comments – thanks all!
Viola, you are exactly like our Spunky girl—she’s also a deep thinker and very independent. But you certainly all are CATS.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
