Meow Muffin?? Did you just call me Meow Muffin? I think you’d better inspect your morning muffin to see if there’s anything strange in it.
Oh, Tessa, we think you should just go with the flow today and accept whatever term of endearment we might bestow upon you. Would that be so horrible, for once?
Just moments earlier, Tessa was sitting on a window sill and get this: She was making soft mewing sounds at someone or something outside. When did this happen, we asked ourselves. When did Danger Cat Tessa start talking to outsiders?
We crept to the window to see what or who Tessa was talking to. Was it a bird? She often softly chatters with birds, trying to convince them to come inside just for a moment. Understandably, the birds ALWAYS decline her invitation. Was it a cat visitor? Sorry, Tessa, outside cats cannot come inside for a visit, either.
Nope, no bird or cat. It’s Shaggy, the raccoon, coming to check for food in the feeding stations. Hey! Since when does Tessa meow at the visiting raccoons? No, Tessa. Absolutely not. That raccoon is NOT coming inside for a visit. Not now, not ever!
Hmm, is this a new rule I’m supposed to be aware of? I’m kind of running out of options for having a friend come over to visit, Mom.
Tessa, you live in a house full of cats. Why don’t you try to make a friend out of one? Maybe one you share a lot of similarities with?
Mom, I don’t like where your conversation is going . . .

So very often, Tessa, a kitty will be ‘talking’ to something outside, but when a human sneaks up to view…nothing is seen!
We think they are faking us out.
I guess Tessa is softening in her “old age” (not that she’s old). But don’t tell her we said that. . .
Tessa, you are too funny.
Tessa wants to invite a friend in from the big outdoors.
Friends are the family you choose for yourself. Right, Tessa? 🙂
