When the workmen leave, it’s time for a head count. Actually, we do head counts throughout the day; at the end, we’re pretty sure everyone’s here.
And always, someone gives us a scare. You might think that would be Tessa, and she’s done that a time or two. This time it was Olivia. Couldn’t find her for a long while and just about the time we thought we’d pass out from hyperventilating with fear, a little lump under the sheets moved.
“That’s not Quint,” we said in unison. “Quint’s on that side.”
It was Olivia. She never goes under the blankets but there she was. “All’s clear, sweet Olivia,” we called out and finally, she wandered out as though nothing had happened.
What? Is dinner ready yet?

Cats like to worry you – just to make sure you are paying attention!
The Hubby laughs at me…yep, LAUGHS!…when I mention that I’m missing a cat.
This morning, HE was the one who couldn’t find Chili Bruce, but I simply looked until I found him catmoflauged under the pool table.
Cats also have cloaking devices, that they use just to confound their humans, I swear.
Ringo does this regularly, even when there’s no reason to. We’re glad all is well.
The firs time Flynn went under the quilt he was so close to the pillows that you couldn’t see the lump. We searched high and low and got into a panic. It was only when he popped his head out that we knew he hadn’t escaped. He often slept under there after that.
It’s always scary when you can’t find someone!
Glad everyone was accounted for. XO
Oh, phew! We sure are glad you found Olivia!
