A week or so ago, I finally took my Spring garden walk. Whew! That was a long time in coming! And what glorious flowers are out there!
Finally, me and Dad had to retreat back inside (noisy neighbors!) and after a good night’s sleep and a few daytime naps, I was ready to dab and pat paint to paper.
Unbeknownst to me, Mom planned ahead on the off chance I wouldn’t get to walk through the garden. She wanted to make sure I had plenty of inspiration.
Leaves are easy to paint. After all, I only looked at them from the window for a month or so before getting to go outside. I figure it’s hard to mess up leaves so I didn’t spend too much time looking at them once I got out in the garden. I’m all about the flowers!
Adding some orange was fun. I’m a big fan of orange *wink* And yellow too. My Mom would have you think I’d paint with nothing but yellow if I could. She might be right.
Hmmm, what color to add next, what color to add next?
Purple!
This purple color made me so happy, not to mention getting to paint at last after a long winter, I got a little lovey while dabbing my paw in the palette dish. Not only did my toes do the painting this time, but some extra paw fur added flair too. It’s noticeable on my finished paintings, most notably on my pink flowers. Mom asked if this is going to be a regular thing. Silly Mom. How do I know? I’m just an artist!
Here’s one of my finished paintings. Mom’s calling it Full Spring, maybe because all of our flowers seem to be blooming at once. I hope you like it. And if you do, maybe you’d like to visit my art shop to see it and some other paintings I’ve done. Maybe one or two will find forever homes with you!
Thanks for having patience with me and my Mom, waiting along with me to get to go outside for my Spring walk. Was it worth the wait? I think so!
