Now that Spring is here, the sunlight coming into the master bedroom turns everything and everyone very bright.
All except Tessa, who prefers half bright, half not-so-bright.
That’s because, like my fur colors, I prefer being half a good girl and half a ba-a-a-a-d girl. MOL!
Tessa is still ripping up the tablecloths we drape over the antique buffet that we’ve had in the exact same spot for fourteen years. Nothing we put up there to anchor the tablecloth is safe – lamps, silver trays, bulky candleholders, books. If the buffet wasn’t bought specifically to fill an extra long wall space, and we had room elsewhere, we’d think maybe she thought the room needed a change. Not going to happen. And every time she tears up the tablecloth, she gets a time-out in the big bedroom. We know Mom’s not going to crack first on this subject!
Hey! Just for fun, here’s an online jigsaw puzzle of Tessa’s decorating, courtesy of JigsawPlanet.com because who doesn’t want to put together a puzzle of a mess?
Oh dear Tessa…been there done that. Shortly after I came to live here I went on a exploration of things that had always been here that the cat before me, Milky-way never bothered. I was especially infatuated with the Grandfather clock that could not be moved. My route was to go 1/2 way up the stairs..I’d launch myself from between the stair rails…sit on top and gnaw on the finial. Mom and dad had to wrap the clock in a quilt, secured with duct tape to keep me off. Finally mom found a wicker basket that was made to fit on steps she put it at my launching pad. Then I started walking across the mantel to the top of the 8′ Ethan Allen Secretary. I liked that finial too. My route to the secretary was a white chair that sits by the fireplace. The peeps moved the chair into the middle of the room. Mom finally bought a 5′ cat tree. Problem solved. I pushed all of mom’s buttons early on.
Hugs madi your bfff
Usually it is just one cat that decides to tear things up while the others are angels
I laughed about the “time out” (sorry!!) I used to make my Angel Bobo have “time outs” quite frequently!!!! (They used to be for about 10 minutes at a time). They work! catchatwithcarenandcody
OMC…Tessa is a stinker. Asstrid and Lisbeth are pretty good at clearing counters, but nothing like this. Why do you think she targets the buffet? XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo & Cooper Murphy
We think maybe she targets the buffet because….. she’s a Tuxie?? Honestly, we have no idea. Nothing has changed with it since she came to live with us as a kitten.
Oh dear oh dear….Tessa you may need to rethink things…
She’s just showing off her bad girl side. We luff the pic of her sticking her chin out.
Amazing job, Tessa, we’re impressed ! Purrs
Maybe she just wants to use the buffet as a sleeping place and is just clearing it all off. But she sure does a good job at the clearing.
that bed looks comfy….but oh my that is a lot of destruction for one girl
tessa…we guess itz just uz….we due knot see a problem…. 🙂 🙂 N we give yur mom 4 mor triez bee for her iz like ….de egg !!!!! ♥♥
Tessa, are you feeling a bit troubled territorially? Or having a 2nd childhood; if you were a human, would you go out and buy a red convertible? LOL! Hope your peeps help you to re-direct your sillies!
High paw, Tessa! You do good work! Glad that wasn’t a CFL bulb or you would have been in trouble in more ways than one. Pop broke one once and I couldn’t come into the room until he decontaminated it.
I think maybe that buffet needs to be replaced by an extra-wide cat tree!
Oh, Tessa, you are so funny! We love your decorating style!
Oh Tessa! You really are a spunky girl.
OMC Tessa! You’re ba-a-a-ad to the bone! MOL!
Y’all look so sweet together! No wonder you are smiling sweet Tessa!
Tessa, are you related to Hemingway? He is forever “redecorating” things!!! I am in a constant battle with him.
The Mom to Hemingway and Steinbeck
You’re a one ladycat wrecking ball, Tessa!
Tessa reminds me a lot of Frodo – lots and lots of energy and half-so-bright! Be we love him!
I think Tessa has been watching HGTV 🙂 YAY! I love puzzles.
Tessa you are a sassy girl!
Parece que um tornado passou naquele buffet! hihi
Cafunés para você, Tessa!
My entire life, I’ve heard people tell me how stubborn I am – so much that I became a bit proud of it. But since Bear Cat’s been in my life? Some things just ARE NOT worth it. Keeping him off the counter – for example. He and Tessa went to the same school of interior design 🙂 Tessa looks so sweet! I ALMOST don’t believe she’d make a mess like that.
I think you have a gift, Tessa…keep the peeps busy..MOL 😀 By the way…I have a puzzle like that and it is still a mess too..MOL 😀 Pawkisses for a wonderful day 🙂 <3
