Finally got a photo of the old raccoon staying on and off in one of our heated feral shelters. We do believe this is Happy and that she’s mostly blind and possibly deaf as well (for complete story on Happy, see bottom section here of Friday’s post). She has everything here she needs – food, clean water, trees and bushes for cover, and a heated feral shelter should she want it. She is safe here and won’t be bothered.

Quint is painting at last. He painted and painted and painted and isn’t happy that Mom is trying to wean him off using so much yellow in his art. We think she’ll crack before he does. Look for new art from him very soon, and in the meantime, don’t forget to check out what he has currently at his art shop.

Inspired by Quint’s creativity, Mom jumped into the craft pool by making Photo Boards of some of her favorite Colehaus Cats pictures. These are printed on cotton paper and attached to 6 x6 inch clear pine squares and then, covered using a glossy gel medium. The finished product has a slight textural feel of cotton, or linen, that you can see in some of the photos below.
She’s made six different boards so far with about ten others to go, all different and including some Colehaus angels.
Mom would love to sell these but isn’t sure if there’s a market for them, nor does she know what would be a fair price. Or, for that matter, if anyone else would like them as much as she does. Comments and suggestions much appreciated!
It’s interesting that Quint is in love with yellow! I like the photo boards, especially to pic of New Newton smiling…but would prefer to have them with my own cat pictures on them. Am thinking $15-20? Guess if they are ‘purr-sonalized’, it would cost more.
Quint, your paintings are lovely! We are glad you are taking care of the old Raccoon
I love the photo boards…especially Baby Pia! They are very pretty and creative. I wish I knew how to do things like that for the pics I have of my own kitty, Annabelle. Love that Quint is painting too. Just getting my Quint paintings up in the new house!
Everything and everyone sure looks wonderful! Thanks for giving the elder racoon some love and care.
That little bandit in the feral house!! Dang him!!
Quint I love your little blue pawprints.
Hugs madi your bfff
Maybe Quint thinks that yellow is his signature color? I love the idea of photo boards… most humans seem to want them of their own cats, though.
We think these would easily sell, if you had pet parents e-mail a good quality photo to your mom. We suggest checking Etsy to see if there is anything like it to gauge a price. Mom is so happy Quint is painting again. He is her very favorite artist. And she loves the blues and lavenders. XOCK, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Angel Astrid, Lisbeth, Calista Jo and Cooper Murphy

We’re so happy Quint is painting again. I agree with the the databbiesotrouttowne: Put a set in the shop and see how they do.
Wonderful the old raccoon has such a safe site to hang around.
Quint, estou ansiosa para ver a tua pintura pronta.
A ideia das placas é muito boa.
Espero que o Raccon fique por ai, em segurança.
Beautiful cat art! I bet someone would buy the one with sunflowers. They’re all beautiful, but more meaningful to you as you know these kitties personally. I bet some would sell, though. Maybe open up an Etsy shop & see what happens
We can’t wait to see Quint’s new creations! And we’re glad the old raccoon is safe for awhile.
They’re all pretty. Maybe Quint likes yellow cos it’s one of the colors cats can see best. I hope the raccoon doesn’t hurt the cats if any of them try to use the feral house.
We have two feral shelters, both heated, and far apart from one another, plus straw-filled Geoffrey’s House (not heated). A lady down the hill on the next street over is also caring for our neighborhood feral cats. We think between the two of us we have enough room for all.
Go with the blues Quint, my favorite color. I am sure people would buy this beautiful art.
We are so pleased the little old raccoon gal has a safe warm place. Efurrybody’s gotta eat and sleep! You are a regular St. Francis over there.
We love your pictures of the kitties and think people would like to send you pictures and pay you to make them of their own kitties. As for how much to charge, as someone said, check Etsy or figure how long it takes to make one start to finish and figure what a fair hourly rate is. You don’t want to spend 4 hours to make one and charge so little that you’re not even making minimum wage!
I am not an expert in art or value of such, but I love these prints. You take amazing, stunning photos … you truly know how to incorporate each cat’s personality in the photograph … making it truly worth thousands of words. And that picture of tiny Pia Bean? Holy kittens is that adorable!
We agree … the human always cracks first. Momma used to be known as the most stubborn living thing … until Bear came along. She’s gotten used to being soundly defeated on Bear’s will alone.
Great photo of the raccoon ! We’re glad she’s back ! Can’t wait to see Quint’s painting ! Purrs
That is very kind of you to make sure the raccoon is safe and secure. That is so cute that Quint prefers the yellow. Tell him I LOVE the lavender paint he’s using.
I love the photo boards! They would make a really good way to display our photos without frames.
How nice that Quint is painting again. Can’t wait to see the 2017 batch. We love the photo boards.
BTW, that’s a pretty cute critter.
Emma and Buster
I loooooove the photo board! Very well done. I think i would buy one or two. Little Pia Bean is super sweet! I’m so happy Quint is back to painting. I’m enjoying a couple of his pieces here at home. And I’m so happy your old raccoon has a comfortable loving place to spend her life. All of your art and ideas for the animals are amazing.
It’s wonderful that Quint feels inspired to paint again. You all look great. Thank you so much for taking care of that raccoon.
Those photo boards are so cool!
