Quint and Tessa. Close but far by choice. Still okay with each other’s company. Quint still gets the pillow, Tessa still claims whatever she sets her mind to; in this case, the blanket is all hers. The confident outstretched paw says, “Mine. All mine.”

Back in 2013, the two first settled into the pattern that remains today. Close but far by choice. Quint got the pillows, Tessa claimed whatever she wanted; in this case, an old hand-crank Columbia record player. Much later, she claimed that sisal bench and shredded it. Tucked away out of sight in a closed room, Mom still thinks she might be able to salvage it. Some day, you know, on that mystical future day where all things are possible.

Good habits never change. Close but still have their own space.
Detente.
We know you’ll figure out how to resurrect that bench.
Good luck with the bench!
Such cutie- then and now. XO
If it’s not broke, why fix it? Right, Quint and Tessa?
But we still note they are sort of close together. That is allus good.
