We’ll admit we were asleep at the wheel last Friday when we completely forgot a Colehaus Cats blog post. We almost forgot today’s and truth be told, we may forget Wednesday’s too. We’re trying not to beat ourselves up over last Friday; it was a rare beautiful day here and while Dad was at work, Mom worked 14 straight hours cleaning up our front and back yard, including a little stint in the dark using a flashlight to finish up transplanting a scrap of daylily. Why? Because as of yesterday, she started a three-week long stretch of 12 hour days at her job, training for a new process and learning the Kaizen method for the department she’s currently training in, and this may be the only time she has to do her gardening thing.
The overtime will be worth it because next month, Pia gets the V-E-T treatment and we know that will include a dental surgery recommendation along with the worry over the dentist’s rule of no hard kibble for 10 days after surgery, and us knowing Pia will stop eating because she outright REFUSES any and all wet food. Really! We have the $1100 combined bill receipts from our last attempt to convert her to the wet side.
Really, ginger girl? Are you really going to be this difficult when we know you will feel better in the long run?
Thank you for your patience. Pia, we really need to talk.

Pia, you are gorgeous.
Wish we had more suggestions on switching you to gushy food, but your pawrents have tried them.
I hope Pia’s dental goes well and you can convince her to eat soft food.
Sorry your mom has such long hours. I am impressed that she worked outside for so long. I will be praying Pia’s dental goes well and that she eats canned food. XO
Wow, Mom Cole has been working so much. We hope she gets a day off soon. 🙁
Pia, we are purring and praying that your dental and recovery go smoothly. XO
Your mom has been working WAY too hard! Couldn’t you lend a paw?
