Sunny continues to thrive here at Colehaus. During the day hours, she has free reign of the house and of all the great napping places. At night, she sleeps behind closed doors on top of Dad in the master bedroom (along with Ruby and Zuzu).
All Colehaus Cats have automated feeders now so Sunny can continue her special diet addressing her stage three kidney disease without snacking on forbidden food. In fact, she was the first and quickest to learn the SureFlap microchip-automated feeder.
We’ve continued to monitor her weight and she’s been holding steady at just over nine pounds since last year, her perfect weight. She’s become playful and even has a favorite, above-all-others toy – her orange orb (shhh, don’t tell her it’s a golf whiffle ball), and is, most definitely, less growly, even when picked up which isn’t too often because she doesn’t see the point in anyone doing that.
All in all, Sunny is doing great and has fit in wonderfully!
Yay for Sunny! She is beautiful!

Good to hear things are going well with Sunny. Today I need a cat named Snowy. No sun today!
She’s gorgeous. I love that she sleeps on her Daddy every night. Cats are strange with their toys. I’ve given Bear tons of balls (kitty sized tennis balls … etc) and he’s ignored every single one. I got a toy pack from a friend and it has a ball in it with a bell … and he’s all over that. It’s like he KNOWS that I didn’t get that one for him!
She is so gorgeous. And we’re very glad she’s so happy with you. But we wonder about the feeders. Wouldn’t that design cause whisker stress ?
Our Pia suffers whisker stress and she pulls out clumps of her kibble and eats it on the side just as she always has. That said, she complains less about her whisker stress than she ever did before using a big wide flat bowl. We’ll keep monitoring her progress.
I’m so glad she is happy and content. She’s a lovely girl.
Wonderful news about Sunny! She just needed less stress, good health care, and lots of lovin’! YAY!
Sunny, we love hearing this good news about you. Mom thinks she may need to get one of those Feeders for Cooper Murphy before he eats us out of house and home. We are having what is our second warmest winter on record. Last year was the warmest ever. Only a smidge of snow so far. Mom hopes it decides to never come back. Have a great week. We’re so glad Sunny is doing so well. She’s such a gorgeous girl.
Yay! I’m so glad Sunny is doing well. Binga needs a Sure-flap feeder to keep Boodie (and um, sometimes me) out of her food.
We are so happy you are doing so well these days beautiful Sunny!
Wonderful news! I’ve been wanting to try those feeders out, but our cats’ diets don’t allow for them (which is a shame, because they’re really cool!). I hope Sunny continues to get better.
What a lovely thing to hear about you sweet Sunny. Keep up the good work, i.e. napping Sunny.
