It’s very early this Monday morning and I’m waiting for Mom to give me my kibble snack breakfast. She’s taking longer than usual for some reason . . .
“I’m cleaning up after your brother if you must know. I’ll be there in a minute!”
Usually, she’s good for her word. I don’t know. I’m feeling a little impatient this morning.

Maybe I’ll snooze off a while longer, in case Mom’s more than a minute late. You know how us cats don’t like our routines disrupted and this certainly feels like one of those times.
Mere minutes later . . .

As luck would have it, I did NOT starve but it was touch and go for a minute there. I didn’t think she was ever going to get here. I was so famished I didn’t even mind eating out of whatever bowl my Mom grabbed, this pink bowl, my sister Tessa’s bowl, who has decided she’s above Monday breakfasts and is sleeping in today. Is that a thing now? Napping over kibble breakfast? Why, I think that’s cra-a-z-z-zy thinking!
