The gingers side-by-side. Maybe Quint was hoping Pia would sniff him or better yet, lick his forehead, something the usually aloof Pia’s been doing on and off over the past couple of months. She’s not at any point downright grooming Quint yet, but in the rare moments Mom actually sits on the couch, both Pia and Quint join her and Pia almost always straightens Quint’s forehead furs. One could muse that Quint, who’s always a neat and tidy gentleman, may be messing up his furs in hopes Pia will take notice and do something about that.
Or maybe tolerance really does come with age?
And this is about as close as we’re ever going to see Viola and Tessa together. Unless they ever prove the above question – Will an aging Tessa ever tolerate Viola? Is she doing that now? We think Tessa’s turned back shows she’s just not acknowledging Viola is on the next chair over, though one could argue a turned back shows a certain amount of trust. Or confidence, that Tessa has an over abundance of.
Viola, on the other hand, looks somewhat bewildered. Maybe looking for an escape route? Truth be told, both napped in these spots for over two hours. Would that be tolerance? Or was this whole thing just luck of the draw and Mom with a handy camera?
