I disapprove of this new wake-up schedule. I want that to go on record.
This week, Mom’s new work schedule went into affect and though you’d think two hours of extra sleep in the morning would be a good thing, apparently it’s not. Some tuxie girl stomped all over the bed those extra two morning hours expecting her humans to get up and feed her at her usual oh dark-thirty hour. Yes, that old schedule had been in effect since 2018. It’ll take time for everyone to get used to a new one.
Tessa does not like change, especially time changes. Remember, she dislikes Daylight Savings Time, too. Just can’t please this girl.
Fine. Don’t think I won’t expect my first breakfast at my usual time again tomorrow. And we’ll do this as many times as it takes!
The past two weeks have been stressful enough at work, Tessa. Don’t make it stressful at home as well.
The first round of layoffs were last week where Mom works. She hopes this will end up being a good thing and is focusing on her job, not what’s going on elsewhere. And she’ll remember the following:

There is no quick way to change cat meal times; one just has to persevere.
It’s emotional when workplace stuff is happening, although we push it down and just keep on keeping on.
Purring that it happens around you, leaving you gainfully employed.
I hope someone will come through the tunnel and whisper about how things change even though we hate it, to Tessa…she has to learn about change, however unpleasant it is. But… at least everyone is well. OOXX
Sounds like a rough week Tessa. XO
Tessa, there is no kitty I know that loves to ‘sleep–in’… But you will have to learn to adapt just enough to let your Mom relax for her job.
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
Aww Tessa, just think how much more you will appreciate your breakfast when you get it.
Tessa, please be nice to Mom Cole. It sounds like stuff has been really stressful with work and all. XO
Changes are awful. Fortunately for us, TBT has stayed home for 18 years, so we have never missed a meal. The meals never show up on any schedule, but we get 6 a day and it works out.
