Thanks for helping us celebrate our five-year blogoversary Wednesday! So many kind words, so many good thoughts. We promise to keep on doing what we’re doing if you promise to let us know what isn’t working, okay?

Mom thought she would check up on how Ruby was getting along sharing her luxury suite with Sunny. I tagged along because I stick my nose into everyone’s business as a roving reporter, I get special backstage access.
Ruby, how you doing? How’s it going with Sunny staying in here with you? Comfortable? You need anything? Ruby? Ruby? Can you hear me, Ruby Roo?
To which Ruby replied, “I’m not deaf. I’m ignoring you. Come back when I’m more awake, please.”
And so, a couple of hours later, Mom asked again. Ruby? Oh good, you’re awake! So, how are things in here with Sunny? You two getting along okay?
“Sure, we get along great. She gets along with everyone but I was worried she was going to try to steal my tower. But you know what? She couldn’t care less about my tower. It’s all mine!”
That’s great to hear, Ruby! Sounds like everything is going swell in here! So, no worries, right?
“Well, there is one thing I might have to worry about. She seems to steal all the spotlight. Do you think she will share that?”
We’re sure she’ll share the spotlight. We thought you weren’t that big on having your photo taken but if that’s changed, let’s ask Sunny if she’ll share the camera attention.
Sunny, you do seem to like the camera and the camera likes you. You think you might want to share the spotlight with your sister Ruby? Sunny? Sunny, did you hear me?
“I might be old but I’m not deaf. Because I’m busy, I’m just ignoring you. Ask me later.
And there you have it, ladies and gentlemen. Two senior cats, neither deaf, both ignoring Mom. It’s like a match made in heaven. Your roving reporter out!
You two are so filled with sweetness!
Yep, cats ignoring hoomins… that’s about right. We’re glad the two of you get along well.
Hey … cats have important things to do, you know! Though you two are mighty gorgeous and I’m glad your Mom snapped those pictures … I can’t imagine anyone NOT smiling at seeing them!
Those two seem to have plenty to keep them busy!
LOL, we’re glad it’s working out! And Ruby, we think it’s ok that Sunny has the spotlight for a while. She’s had quite a year!
If it’s working alright we say if it’s not broke don’t fix it!
of course they get along – they have so much in common MOL
Olivia, the camera LOVES you! Nice reporting, sweet kitty! Sunny and Ruby, you were nicely patient, and it’s lovely to see both of you. I especially like the photo of Sunny up front, with Ruby looking on from behind.
You all are just too cute! And this is all sounds so familiar. I’ve come to terms with the fact that my kitties have selective hearing, and I’m simply not often selected. Purrs!
two peas in a pod!!!
If they are ignoring the human, it all must be good.
So cute!!
Great job reporting 🙂 I am glad things are going smoothly.

Glad to hear things are going well for Sunny and Ruby…or so we think…even though they weren’t saying.

Emma and Buster
What a pawsome report Olivia. That’s from one reporter to another.
Fico contente que Sunny e Ruby estão se dando bem.
E não se preocupe Ruby, você tem o seu próprio holofote, eu garanto.
Cafunés para vocês, meninas bonitas!
Gosh there both so beautiful.
That’s a great report. We’re glad to hear all is going well.
That was some excellent reportage, Olivia! And we’re so glad to know Sunny and Ruby are getting along just fine. 🙂
Hugs!
