I’m checking on where my sister Tessa is before I hit the breakfast bowl. Sometimes she gets a wild hair and thinks I’m a toy for her to chase. You could say I could do without any of that today.

And I’m in luck! With Tessa fast asleep elsewhere, the breakfast bowl is all mine without disturbance. I do love me some undisturbed kibble in the morning!

A bit of morning conversation. You can’t see him from this angle but my other brother Quint was hanging out under the bed. “Hi brother!” He said hi back. He’s so cheery in the mornings.

Checking the view outside, usually Squirrel and Bird TV is going full speed. I can spend hours here watching those rascally rodents. Hmmm…

Well, there you have it. My morning, every morning. What you didn’t see is me snuggling with mom and dad before they got up. That’s part of my routine too. Just because there aren’t any pictures of that, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen. You’ll just have to take my word on it. You can trust me.
What’s your morning routine?
That’s a pawesomely wide food bowl! We do the snuggling before getting up thing, too, followed by breakfast, seeing the humans off while lounging to be sure they know we’re about to nap while they are out doing whatever they do outside the door, then back to bed for lots of naps. Punctuated by cat TV, of course.

Ruby, some of us humans have to punch a clock, and we get in trouble when we are late! Aren’t you lucky that you have freedom to nap, eat, watch Bird TV and Squirrel TV, and snuggle with your humans, at will? Your are so lucky!

Well, that’s a pretty busy morning. Mostly we just bug Mom for food. It’s gushy food so she has to open the cans. Kibble days were MUCH easier for us all.
Ruby our first order of business is breakfast that is VERY high on our list. We don’t leave Mom alone until she pops open those cans of delicious food and then we can go sleep some more!
That is an impressive kibble dish, Ruby.

You have a good morning routine Ruby. I like to snuggle with my mum before she gets up too, and then I get her warm spot when she gets out of bed.
