Recently, the Dad and Tessa sat down together and had a talk, a kind of State of the Union address conversation in which the following topics were discussed:
- The timing and variety of food being offered, including food bowl etiquette and cleanliness.
- Box habitation – Seniority verses perceived adorableness.
- Reopening talks and negotiations with allies – Why?
- Why Tessa is the best cat ever. With lengthy, multi-layered examples.
All in all, it was a good talk, perhaps a bit one-sided, but no one openly accused the other of intentional wrongdoing. It would seem the future going forward just may be bright. We’ll be sure to thank Tessa for that.

This past weekend reminded us how very dear our Friends of Colehaus are to us for helping support us through these times of Covid-19 and economic struggle, with a delivery of the cat litter all the Colehaus cats love the best – Dr. Elsey’s, with Quint’s canned food, a huge bag of Iams kibble for everyone else (Mom and Dad excluded), and a very welcomed box of Tazo tea.
We are extra excited about a case of Hunt’s tomato sauce. Now just wait, you out there who might be thinking, “What? WHAT???” Or something along the lines of, “How sad are these people who publicly announce their excitement over some donated cans of tomato sauce?”
And we’ll fire right back saying, “Just hold on a second there. We LOVE tomato sauce!” We put tomato-based sauce on everything (we draw the line at breakfast oatmeal). If that makes us odd, then we don’t want to be normal. THANK YOU, you wonderful person, who sent us tomato sauce from our Amazon wish list! THANK YOU!
