Mom has a busy week this week with what she says are appointments coming out of her ears. Now, you should know, I sleep next to Mom and I have a pretty good view of her ears and never have I seen anything resembling an appointment coming out of her ears. But, okay. Let’s humor her. You know how Moms can get if you don’t humor them, and often!
After much thought, this week I had planned to help Mom put away decorations, but if she has other things on her plate, I guess I’ll use this time to get some well deserved winter sun. I think everyone should take a moment to soak in some winter sun, if you have any. Today’s been a rare day for that here so I’m not passing that up!
Still, these Christmas lights aren’t going to put themselves away. I think Mom needs to take a moment to pull these off the window sill, traipse downstairs, and tuck them into the shiny lights box. How long would that possibly take, one minute, two minutes? I think her priorities need to shift a bit, maybe a two minute shift, don’t you?
Well, I’m off to see what else Mom should be able to squeeze into her busy week. I think she’ll thank me later, when she’s taken time out to praise and pet me, of course. Have a happy, thoughtful week!

Pia, you must enforce YOUR priorities on your mom, otherwise she’ll do other things that don’t concern you at all, and that is just not acceptable.
It’s good that mom has you around Pia, to remind her of your priorities.
Maybe you could drag them downstairs for her. 🙂
You are very thoughtful to try and organise your mom. Enjoy that sun. We had some today at last, but it was very cold!
We’re sure your Mom appreciates your help!
You’re such a good helper! I might need you to crack down on me to take down the decorations too!
Pia, what would your mom do without you? The sun has been a mystery here, too. But it finally came back. We hope you all have been well while we’ve been away.
