So the people told me about a kitty who was brought here from the shelter last year as a Home for the Holidays experiment (because they believe that kind of program shouldn’t be limited to just dogs) and I was surprised to learn that kitty was Ruby! She lives in the other room where I had my kittens last October. I guess the people are having a really long holiday or something because Ruby is still here.
I like Ruby most of the time but she doesn’t talk much to me. Sometimes, not often, when I’m feeling frisky or agitated, I don’t like her. The people here say that Ruby prefers not to fight back and I don’t mean to pick on her, or on that big boy cat that lives in there too, I just don’t know where my future lies yet and that scares and agitates me. So I’m trying not to think too far ahead.
I feel the same about all those other cats who live outside my room and from what I’ve seen so far, there are a lot of them. The people here told me not to worry, to just stay healthy and as long as I kept teaching my kittens good manners, they’d give me a few days a week off and away from them. A little ‘Me’ time out of the kitten room and in the room with Ruby and that boy cat.
That’s working pretty good so far. I’m not sure if I’m up to getting along with the rest of those cats (Why are there so many??) but I’d sure like to be the people’s Home for the Holidays cat this year! What do you think?
Oh, Erinn, we think you should definitely be the Holiday kitteh !
We think you would be a great home for the holidays kitty, Erinn!
We hope you can work things out and stay, Erinn. We know you have a lot of love to give this holiday season (and all year)!
You are sure a cutie and I know you can win over the others with your charm!
I don’t know how they could resist, Erinn!
ohh this is sad, but at least you have a warm loving place to stay in the meantime xxx
Erinn, you have been such a wonderful mother and we can tell you have tons of love to give. Take your time getting to know the other kitties. Who knows….maybe one day all of you will have a big pajama party with lots of catnip and toys! We definitely think you should stay. Those humans need you. 🙂
Erinn we do hope that you are a Home (forever) for the Holiday cat!
Erinn Zuzu, we think that would be the purrfect gift for you! And the humans too! We know that you will make furiends with the other cats…or at least tolerate them.
Erinn Zuzu…y’know what? I have a hard time with those boycats that live here with me. I have my own room, too, and I get lots of ME time away from them. It works out okay. ~Zoey
It saddens me so much that there are so many who need homes. I have five now and donate like crazy to rescue groups. May you get to stay here where you are safe.
iWith s much charm and loveliness you will win everyone over we are sure. Left you a message on yesterdays post. Hope you got it.
Have a wonderful Wednesday.
Best wishes Molly
Oh Miss Errin we want you to stay. It’s such a loving home. Everything will work out in time sweetie. Just you wait and see.
Have a wonderful holiday!
Miss Erin, I would suggest you start getting along with the Man cat and Ruby….you would be a shoe in to stay. How could you ever go back to the shelter? I couldn’t! Good luck sweet baby girl.
Oh, Erinn! We sure hope you will be the people’s Home for the Holidays cat this year (and next year, and the year after……). xox
We are purraying you insinuate yourself into the hearts of those that are in charge Erinn. I am sure you will 😉 xx
Erinn mom and I adore you and your kittens. You know what I am hoping for xxxooo
Paws crossed that things work out for you, Erinn!
I agree with Angel Abby. We hope you are in your forever home for the holidays. Maybe you will get used to the other cats although we have some here that do NOT like other cats. We just think that you should be where ever you are happy. Good luck..
You are such a sweet cat and there could not be a better momma. I hope and pray that your future is filled with only wonderful things.
erinn…after stuff settles down with de comings N goings oh de wee ones …N christmas…. Erinn – I am pretty sure that you have already insinuated yourself into the hearts of the people of the house. You may just have to decide if you can learn to live with the other kitties – I think it would be worth it as you would be loved and treated so well. I also don’t think you have to worry about going back to the shelter as the people will help you find the perfect home if you decide you need to live with fewer cats.
p.s. Ruby gets story time too!
We are hoping and purring it all works out and you get to stay in your wonderful home!
Oh, Erinn Zuzu, we hope that you find that where you are IS your forever home — for the Holidays AND always. Big hugs, purrs and prayers, sweet one.
How could you be anything but. We can’t imagine they would cast you out right before the holidays. Meowy Catmess, Erin ZuZu and all the kitties! Purrs and hugs, Lily Olivia, Mauricio, Misty May, Giulietta, Fiona, Astrid, Lisbeth and Calista Jo
Oh sweet Erinn Zuzu, we adore you and we know that you are adored by your Foster Mom and Dad and we hope that you will be staying on forever…sending purrs your way for harmony between all you kitties.
I can say this on Erin’s behalf, you are a truly refined and beautiful lady. You will make a fine addition to ANY home you should go to, and you WILL find a home. Just pick your people well, look for people that are as classy as you and who know a top notch kitty lady when they see it.
Oh Erinn baby, you’ll find not only a holiday home, but a forever home as well, just hang in there. A sweet face like you will find a home sweetie pie.

Yes, it can be difficult when you are the new kitty. Sounds like you are doing well and it is so good you have a little breather.
